I have been Dr. Washington's patient for 3+ years, and I must say that he is simply amazing! Any and every woman should have the privilege and peace of mind of going to this doctor. Not only is he a really good gynecologist, but he is a phenomenal general practitioner. His practice is in holistic women's health; he deals with all health issues, but he only treats women. Dr. Washington is amazingly well-informed and an excellent practitioner. Most important, he listens to his patients, and he takes the time to explain whatever you want to know. He never rushes you. I never wait more than a few minutes for him in the waiting room. He is also very accessible; easy to reach. He "fits me into" his busy schedule when a health issue comes up and I need to see him on short notice. My father was a physician - a phenomenal one; and I never thought I'd ever find a doctor who was as good as he was...until I met Dr. Washington. I am sure that he is extremely helpful to women of all ages, but, being in my 50s, I am particularly happy about his knowledge of menopause and the health maintenance issues that need to be addressed during that time in a woman's life. He is versatile; for example, he gave me advice about exercising at my training heart rate. Although Dr. Washington appears to know more than any other doctor I've ever seen, he is quick to say that he doesn't know everything. If he is in any doubt, he refers his patients to a specialist when necessary. That is the mark of a great doctor. He also has a GREAT sense of humor! I never leave there without laughing at least once, no matter what is going on with me. Women who do not go to this doctor are missing out. I wish he saw men, too, because he'd be a great doctor for my husband. I think he is rare...I told him recently, "You are not allowed to retire until after I die." That sounds morbid, I know...but I told him that because I can't imagine ever having the fortune of finding another doctor like him. His staff members are very kind and caring, too!
